Up to twenty different people could be indited In Georgia. This is going to be a huge case & sitting a jury alone could take months. This will be anything but speedy.
I predict this trial will not happen till after the 2024 election. I know people don't want to hear that and if you can show me a path for it to happen sooner, I'm all ears.

(3,496 posts)Agreed.
And Trump, having failed to win the 2024 GOP presidential nomination and President Biden having won reelection, is a bitter, broken, pathetic old man, just another criminal defendant having become irrelevant and coverage of his trial blended in with other news of the day.

(1,884 posts)Our favorite DEFENDANT will just continue to have that title until he gets convicted of at least one of these many serious crimes and then he will be known forever as the CONVICT, which he so richly deserves.
You go Donny, the whole world ( with a brain) is laughing at you, not with you. Unless, of course, if he gets acquitted of all these crimes, then he will be known as the most successful ConMan, liar and a cheat with the title of Teflon Donny.

(27,587 posts)I expect to see many settlements without trial. The evidence is very strong including tapes of tfg's phone calls and video of the Coffee County intrusion.

(169,761 posts)that I believe includes the fake electors (there were 16 but 8 were given immunity), there will probably be close to that many, assuming they ensnare someone like Graham and add in the Coffee County machine tamperers.
But am wondering if the top state people will end up among them? Am thinking some GA GOP party officials (those who were fake electors) and obviously the Kraken lawyers.
With all the other trials being scheduled and this one being the last one in, agree that it will be awhile for this one. It's also possible that plea deals might happen with some of the folks (notably the electors who weren't granted immunity) and that would reduce trial time.

(73,726 posts)seems to me there is some value in taking at least some parts of her case, defendant #1s part, and adding them to j6.
maybe if tfg isnt the center of the case, its easier for fani to convict the rest of them.
let the j6 case go 1st, and if the mango menace is convicted, this case becomes a slam dunk.
amirite?
