(4,637 posts)Let us really beware of the same misogyny damaging VP Harris's prospects. While of course it is okay to disagree with Harris's policies and background from a progessive position, we should check ourselves and ask-- are we holding her to an impossible standard because she's a woman?
We did that in 2016-- and the electoral college ended up with a horrific monster in part because several different types of voters reacted in line with the misogynistic manipulations of Trump-- and, I'd submit, Jim Comey, who protected the male candidate and wrongly accused the female candidate right before the election.
She would have been a good president.

I mean, I knew it was there. I just didn't think they would be as obnoxious about it as they were.

(81,543 posts)I feel the same. Hillary makes us think. It is sad what happened tonight--a former USA to be charged with so many Felonies for trying to undermine OUR country!!
Hillary Clinton tells Rachel Maddow, that she feels profound sadness for what Trump did to the country. I feel profound sadness that she wasnt president.

"The deliberate effort to divide Americans, to lie to Americans about what's going wrong, literally in front of their own eyes... are hallmarks of dictatorial efforts... and to undermind our trust in a functional democracy."

There is nothing better than watching Hillary Clinton an honorable woman who got robbed of her presidency by a criminal Russian asset go on national television and troll that very Russian asset for being indicted for a 4th time. Sweet, sweet revenge!
