So, my money is also on Lindsey.

BTW, I do believe that Trump had something on him, and this is Lindsey's way to try to eliminate the threat.

Hope Trump does the next best thing and goes full scorched earth and begins to flame everyone on his side of this fight.

There have been 12 sitting US Senators indicted going all the way back to some guy who cavorted with Arron Burr. Every single one of them have been for specific alleged criminal ACTIONS. Taking/soliciting a bribe...stealing money from the campaign...misuse of federal funds...that kind of stuff. But they were all demonstrable actions.

Lindsey already telegraphed his defense - his conversations with GA officials were in furtherance of his role in the Senate to ensure fair elections and, as a result, any and all conversations were protected under the Speech & Debate Clause that gives members of Congress wide latitude in what they can say about just about anything. The chances of getting a conviction of a sitting senator for something he said...zero.

While I'd love to see him in prison stripes, I doubt it's going to happen in my lifetime.
