But I’m not sure that’s an ugly mug I want to look at in 3D on an ultra high definition 100 inch screen.

Might be better broadcast in black and white, then at the end, when he’s convicted, it could be like the colorization moment in Wizard of Oz, as they read the guilty verdicts a beautiful, perfect, warm, orange color begins to suffuse tfg’s clothing until it’s all really, finally over for him.

He can click his heels and mutter “there’s no place like mar a lardo” all he wants, it’ll be like Orson Welles whispering “rosebud” only no one will care.

will be to change the jurisdiction of the case to federal court. That will mean no TV and a Magat-friendly jury pool.

Trump has a chance to win that appeal, I don't think he will, but who knows?

Article III has nothing about federal court rules applying to states. This is exactly what it says the federal judicial powers are:

The judicial Power shall extend to all Cases, in Law and Equity, arising under this Constitution, the Laws of the United States, and Treaties made, or which shall be made, under their Authority;—to all Cases affecting Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls;—to all Cases of admiralty and maritime Jurisdiction;—to Controversies to which the United States shall be a Party;—to Controversies between two or more States;—between a State and Citizens of another State,—between Citizens of different States,—between Citizens of the same State claiming Lands under Grants of different States, and between a State, or the Citizens thereof, and foreign States, Citizens or Subjects.

When it says "United States," think "federal government, and only the federal government." When it says "State," it means literally states, and not the Federal government. And nothing is in there about controlling how states set up and administer their own court system.

Later on, the Constitution is quite clear in Article X that powers not granted to the federal government (including its judiciary) are invested in the state governments. Ergo....

Federal rules apply to federal courts.

State rules apply to state courts.

Something we do in the summer. Movie, snacks, comfy chairs, friends.

Use it indoors too, smaller screen though. Still. Sounds fun. Throwing nerf balls at the big orange blob on the wall.

is a sad commentary on the state of our Democracy. That the rule of law applies to ALL is heartening, that the slimeball being accused has the undying support of 10’s of millions of voters is just disgraceful to me. Have these people no shame?

Just my opinion.

We may not see a trial, or even a resolution to the malfeasance committed by Trump there.

A new Georgia law that allows the governor to replace ELECTED district attorneys will go into effect in a few weeks. I fully expect they will find cause to remove Fulton County District Attorney Wills and replace her with a right wing tool.

That right wing tool will cancel everything, or hobble it to infinity.

Republicans are on a tear to eliminate all opposition in this country and transform it into a white supremacist theocracy.

For filing charges in a case. The entire law is to punish prosecutors who *don't* file criminal charges that the traitor thugs want them to.

How do you get rid of a prosecutor who's filing criminal charges the way she's supposed to?

Besides, she's doing Kemp a favor. He won't be getting in her way over that.
