Watching Ari, trying to describe Rudi

Hubby found a good term..."drunken stumblebum"

I feel sorry for him. If he'd been content to retire ..but his addiction to fame and money (and booze) made sure his legacy will be pathetic

He lives in NY and and was a Manhattan ADA fir 15 years. He wishes someone would ask Rudy why Donald Trump was the hill he is so willing to die on.

I feel that way about anyone who ties themselves to Trump.

Remember in the days after 9/11, after Michael Bloomberg had already been elected NYC Mayor, Giuliani tried to figure out a way to remain mayor. He argued that NYC needed "continuity" and that the inauguration of Bloomberg should be postponed. Bloomberg, of course, told him to go fuck himself. Literally.

Giuliani is an anti-democracy fascist.

He deserves no grace and no empathy.

everyone thought he was some sort of hero simply because he did his fucking job (re: 9/11) - now he will be forever known as the fucking ass-kissing traitor he is

During his tenure as federal prosecutor and then as mayor, he had controversies. Arresting squeegee guys. Defending HIS NYPD for violating (physically and civil rights) African Americans. Making sure that Michael Milken was frog-marched in front of the cameras without his valued toupee. Publicly embarrassing his wife/the mother of his two minor children by going around with not one, but two girlfriends and then calling a press conference to announce they were separating. Yelling "BULLSHIT! BULLSHIT! BULLSHIT!" during his campaign for mayor to rile up the police force. More. Much more.

Giuliani made his bed in the Nineties.

He likes to chat with her more than anyone else and he smiles a lot when she’s speaking. it’s kind of sweet. But I’m thinking she is newly married.

anyone should admire, glad to believe "America's mayor" was NYC's to deal with. But, his deterioration has been so extreme that I'm among those who've wondered, a bunch of times actually, if he could have been blackmailed, and this is how he's been handling his new life -- not well.

Him and various others who around the same 2015-16 time bizarrely started turning into people old friends said they didn't recognize. Others changed patterns of many years to new kinds of involvement in politics.

Russia alone has always used blackmail extensively, and of course would it be beyond some among the various RW power blocs who've taken over the Republican Party? We know many developed connections with Putin and the Kremlin.
