I had cleared all day Monday because Monday was going to be The Day Of Reckoning, the day he was going to summon up a mountain of the best evidence from the best people, with which he would smite the Deep State hip and thigh. Monday was going to be the rousing climax of his latest drama. Jack Smith was going to drop like Ivan Drago in the last reel. Fani Willis' prosecution was going to find a torpedo going down its exhaust port. The gnomes of the Deep State were going to be scattered all over the frigid north Atlantic, and there aren't enough boats. I'll never let go, big guy. I'll never let go....
Stupid lawyers...but...but...he promised. He promised that he was going to give us the mother of all conditions of release violations. He promised us this. I'll tell you this, I'll never trust him again. That's for sure....
Sure, let's put it off for three years. Can you imagine the amount of ratfcking and justice obstructing and witness intimidating you can do in three years? I'm fairly sure Jack Smith has a pretty good idea, and I'm also fairly sure that Judge Tanya Chutkan does not come to work every day on a turnip truck. She may, in fact, give the defense more time, but I wouldn't count on three years. I'm confident that she doesn't want this case harshing her mellow for the next 36 months.
