So lets say trump decides to turn himself in late Friday and after processing at the Fulton Jail, Judge is gone home for the day; is there a chance he may have to wait until Monday in Jail? Seems that what most defendants that are booked on a weekend have to do......
Thoughts?

(126,011 posts)The later after that anyone comes to the party, the better a dog and pony show anyone's lawyers will need to have lined up for the judge to avoid being mentioned unfavorably in a bench warrant
Show at 12:01P and "My client had an itchy nose" might work
Not there at 5P? The story's probably gotta be good

(33,424 posts)The Secret Service will make the arrangements. And no, Trump will not have to wait his turn. The SS will not tolerate that.

(1,352 posts)The SS may voice to speed things up, but they are just secret service agents with no power within a county jail. Their only power is, security of the soon to be orange jumpsuit moroon. County jails runs their own processes, if outside sources intercede into their own processes, disruption of their system may occur. So therefore, i doubt the SS will do any further then just escort the clown through the media circus into the halls of the Fulton County Jail.

The actual time required to do all of the booking procedures is not much; its the waiting that takes all the time. Trump will not be made to wait. Its a damn shame, but Im not holding my breath for anything different.

(1,352 posts)I would say most likely couple of hours. This is a county jail, so they will most likely do the exact procedures in processing..... remember, no one is above the law, no privileges. I am betting, they will treat him as the guy or woman next to him. One at a time.

Otherwise, he just might talk himself into not being released on bond?
