McAfee's order allows recording video images and sound "during all or portions of the proceedings."
The judge permitted several types of cameras, including television cameras, laptops, and cell phones.

(20,591 posts)to suck in his gut and puff out his chest for the duration of the trial. Plus, keeping his "I'm being persecuted" face on for extended periods of time, without lapsing into his entire coterie of semi-comedic kid's faces usually reserved for when the teachers back is turned, will be extremely difficult for him.
Americans will be exposed to his childish behavior non-stop, and you know he won't be able to control himself, even in a court of law.
This is must-watch TV for anyone able to tune in. I'll watch just to see him not talk, because you know his attorneys won't want him to take the stand in his own defense. They know what a snake they have for a client. 🤣

(8,006 posts)Their information, or misinformation to be more precise, comes from a place of deceit where lie after lie is told and reality careful edited or in many cases, hidden.
Some, at least, are going to be in for a shock that snaps them back to reality if they actually watch it.
All in all, it will be a very positive thing if the entire trial is actually televised gavel to gavel, which you know the networks will fight for to the extent they are able.

(46,139 posts)Will there be an order allowing the trial itself to be televised? Maybe. But that will take another order from the court. This one is limited.
sigh. well i'll watch what i can just to see that asshole squirm and not talk.

Just because they lean very hard to the left does not mean that there clickbait and half-truths are where anyone should be getting their information.

(12,531 posts)Think the cameras are an important aspect of these proceedings. The American public needs to see and hear these conmen in the flesh, understand the evidence and testimony brought against them to grasp the true danger these people (Trump and his sycophants) were willing to exact on the country.
The J6 Committee televised proceedings had an impact despite all the howling to the contrary.
This? x1000.

(58,785 posts)The former president seeking to distract from the indignity of the surrender by turning things into a circus in essence had his lawyers negotiate the booking to take place during the prime viewing hours for the cable news networks.
Televised arraignment, so The Defendant plans to surrender at the jail during prime time. Wonder if he tried to "negotiate" all doors being held open for him.
