(87,736 posts)That Jack Smith is going to pull the curtains back to expose the judicial problem too at some point.
It seems hard to imagine these cases getting all the way through and not encounter the corruption of the judiciary along the way.

(22,065 posts)The IT director, whose identity was confirmed by sources as Yuscil Taveras, is set to be a central witness for Smith in his allegations that Trump, his aide Walt Nauta, and Mar-a-Lago property manager Carlos De Oliveira essentially attempted a cover-up as the government investigated Trump's handling of classified documents after leaving the White House.
Trump, Nauta and De Oliveira have all pleaded not guilty to all charges in the case.

(270,638 posts)Yuscil Taveras?
https://edition.cnn.com/2023/07/28/politics/yuscil-taveras-trump-employee-4-indictment/index.html
The Mar-a-Lago employee referenced in the superseding indictment adding major accusations against former President Donald Trump and a new co-defendant to the case has been identified by two people close to the investigation as Yuscil Taveras, an information technology worker.
Taveras oversaw the surveillance camera footage at the property.
An attorney for Taveras declined to comment when reached for comment by CNN.
Special counsel Jack Smiths team had previously heard testimony about odd conversations between Taveras, Walt Nauta and the new co-defendant Carlos De Oliveira, the property manager, regarding surveillance footage. The grand jury in Washington, before the case was fully relocated to southern Florida, had also heard testimony specifically regarding De Oliveiras unusual behavior toward the footage, three people told CNN.

(1,624 posts)If Witness #4 says Woodward (the Trumpy attorney) coached him to lie, that's a big problem for him, right? Or not?

(34,423 posts)I have been waiting all day to read this filing/response. He is in his own class.
In my heart of hearts I knew he wouldnt do this, but the minute I saw her order questioning the validity of two different grand jurys while thinly veiling suggestions of strategy to the defense AND then reading defenses reply
.. well
. I was wanting to see a response along the lines as the spanking she got last year from the appellate court last year. Not so much, but just enough to make sure she (and Woodward) know hes not putting up with their sh*t. He did that. He definitely has their number and his own butt covered.

(87 posts)What do you want a bet that the information regarding #4s reversed testimony was attempted to be shared with the judge under seal versus like now, in public, were it potentially and directly impacts Nauta and, by extension, Trump.
Smith is definitely playing chess, but Cannon is not even playing checkers.
