I was thinking about the $100k a plate con...

Because of course there's a con, look who we're dealing with.

So Rudy gets 100 grand from each attendee for his legal fund, but not so fast. It's at Trump's club and that food costs money. It has to be prepped and served so there are catering expenses (don't forget it's gourmet). That comes off the top.

Then there's the room rental because it could have been used by another party and staff to set up tables, seat guests, and park cars. The formal wait staff isn't there for free.

Add in the red carpet fee, cleaning fee, and of course DJT's speaking fee, and there will be more hidden charges than a Ticketmaster Taylor Swift concert. Rudy will be lucky if he collects enough money for an airline seat home.

Some guys never learn

What kind of idiot would pony up $100K for Rudy's defense fund and a rubber chicken? Seriously! Scrivener7 Aug 2023 #5

The fundraiser is not until after Rudy has to turn himself in, so he may be more inclined to be loyal to trump.

Desperate people can be easier to control. If trump really had billions, he could easily pay for Rudy's legal fees. Not that he would.
