Illinois pastor charged in indictment with Trump to turn himself in Friday

CHICAGO Orland Park-based minister the Rev. Stephen Cliffgard Lee, who was named along with 18 others in a criminal indictment that includes former President Donald Trump, is set to turn himself in to Georgias Fulton County Jail on Friday, according to his lawyer, David Shestokas.
Lee faces five counts including influencing witnesses, racketeering and conspiring to commit false statements. The charges, announced Aug. 14 by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, center on allegations that Trump, Trumps colleagues and some supporters attempted to overturn the results of the 2020 election in Georgia.
We were pretty much astounded at his inclusion in this group, Shestokas said, confirming his client will plead not guilty. This case is so incredibly dangerous to the United States of America.
The Superior Court of Fulton County announced Tuesday Lees bond is $75,000. Shestokas said Lee does not have the funds to pay the 10%, or $7,500, that is required by Fulton County to be released from jail.

(1,249 posts)what was he doing in Atlanta? He had money to fly down there to harass those poor poll workers?
Seems to me Fani Willis has done a fine job in rounding up these characters, even if they don't live in Georgia.
