DAMN! Georgia Republicans in legislature trying to get DA Willis FIRED!!

Amid calls for "civil war" and a newly-announced congressional probe into the Georgia prosecutor who indicted Trump, state GOP lawmakers in Georgia are calling on a newly-established commission to oust Willis from elected office.

He might be one of the last honorable "R" governors.

5. Kemp would be the one to replace her. I highly doubt they will be successful

Kemp has broader aspirations. Word is, he is going to run for Senate. Or throw his hat in the 28 presidential race. If he goes for senate, that’s going to be a hell of a race. He may be hard to beat and Osoff will need all hands on deck to prevail.

He knows he needs non trump republicans and independents to win. Tanking the trump case would not be a good political move for him. If they are able to oust DA Willis, Kemp will replace her with one of her underlings.

Kemp is no friend to democrats, but he’s no dummy. He’s already proven he can win without die hard MAGA support. He doesn’t need to appease them.

Just not in blatant ham handed ways that trump wanted to. I strongly believe Abrams was robbed in that first race.

In a discussion on MSNBC, someone mentioned trying to replace DA Willis with an outsider that would get rid of the case would be like the Saturday Night Massacre. There would be mass resignations. I think this is all wishful thinking in the rotted brains of magamaniacs.
DA Willis is not a “progressive DA”, I believe she is fair, but not a “bleeding heart librul soft on crime”.
The attack on her by her democratic opponent before she won, was that cops supported her. The commission will have to come up with a good reason she needs to be removed. It can’t just be because she prosecuted trump.
I don’t think they will be successful. What this law will do though, give republicans more power to take over in places they lost. I am more worried about that.

4. Dems and other state leaders urging Governor Kemp to publicly back Willis

ATLANTA − A Georgia faith leader representing more than 530 churches is calling upon Gov. Brian Kemp to publicly oppose Republican efforts to remove or discipline Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.

Willis, a Democrat and the first Black woman to serve in the position, has become a lightning rod for attacks by supporters of former President Donald Trump, who she indicted this month along with 18 others on charges related to an alleged conspiracy to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.

I was just a little shocked at how quickly Republicans at state and federal level are already going after her so openly and aggressively despite any evidence that she's not doing her job.
