LMAO -- Ramaswamy says Mike Pence should've used the opportunity on January 6 to unilaterally implement universal single-day voting and voter ID. Beyond parody.

Almost makes me wonder where I’m not supposed to be looking. My blind guess is he’s a trump plant, and that he’s there just to make sure things stay crazy.

But that means he ain’t there for me. It’s theater for the rubes and the mainstream media gossip-mongers.

passed them with 100%. They are not very difficult, although a new immigrant might find them difficult without a little study. Ramaswamy's idea above shows more that he has a strong authoritarian inclination. One person, not even the Pres or the VP makes new laws, by declaration or otherwise. Ramaswamy is not too smart, and should keep his yap shut about things he knows little and nothing.

I encourage all you DUers to go online and take a free citizenship test.

Obviously not. A VP has no power to implement policy...overstepping the president and Congress also.

What idiocy. He keeps this up and i'm sure his opponents are filing all his missteps away for for use in debates and negative ad use later.

And so should we Dems in the small chance that Ramyswamy wins the nomination.

The VP is pres of the senate and can vote if there is a tie vote in that body. Otherwise POTUS can delegate some initiative for a VP to head up and lobby congress to pass. A VP can attend foreign events as a representative of POTUS. Attend foreign state funerals, show up after disasters for public relations. Be a conduit for people to grip about something that POTUS should know/do. And of course campaign and try to generate good will. But mostly a VP is back-up if POTUS dies, while in office.
