House Republicans are barreling toward an impeachment inquiry into President Biden, with some saying the conference should pull the trigger as soon as next month when Congress reconvenes.
Its a must, Rep. Ralph Norman (R-S.C.) told The Hill in an interview. I mean, if not now, when?

Other GOP lawmakers, however, say they are not ready to take the plunge.
I think before we move on to [an] impeachment inquiry, we should
there should be a direct link to the president in some evidence, Rep. Don Bacon (R-Neb.) told The Hill in an interview. We should have some clear evidence of a high crime or misdemeanor, not just assuming there may be one. I think we need to have more concrete evidence to go down that path.

Having actual evidence, what a novel concept for an R.

(4,002 posts)What a concept. You need EVIDENCE first. Give this guy a cookie or something.

(4,002 posts)Kind of reminds me of junior high English class with Mrs Rest. The room was in the center of a wing so no windows and a higher ceiling. There were four rooms in the center. Two walls slid (one side and the back) so it could open four rooms into one huge room.
Anyway... Spit balls were a big thing back in the late 70s. I remember them all over the wall above the blackboard. Kind of like RepubQcans are doing. Let's just throw a bunch of sxxt at the wall and see if anything sticks.

(60,353 posts)How very Republican. To them, being inaugurated as a Democrat is the highest crime a Democrat can commit. They cant wait until they have a Chief Justice who feels the same way.

(26,352 posts)really nail republican doorstoppers who aren't doing anything in Congress but stall on everything that the democrats have proposed for the good of the Country. Do you realize republicans, that your efforts are hurting the Country, by ignoring the common good etc. and concentrating solely on issues that tRUMP wants? He's not even in government anymore.
Traitors all. Insurrectionists all, 14th Amendment to all of them who participated in any part on the events of 1/6.
It kind of pisses me off that Garland isn't doing the initial honors in not allowing tRUMP from running again for president, that someone else had to sue tRUMP from running as a valid candidate.
If they had a process where we as individual voters could sign onto this lawsuit to prevent tRUMP from running ever again for any elected office, sign me up (and for that matter, any of the other elected representatives of the republican Congress that participated in the 1/6 events). It's funny that not a word has been uttered about what the others were doing, I do know that there have been some discussions etc., such as w/ Jordon (gym) and tRUMP (what did they discuss, I wonder) etc.

(4,002 posts)First the House Committee starting this has to agree to waive Immunity for anything they say that isn't true. They would suspend the Speech and Debate clause protections
Thus making them liable for slander and defamation if something is not true.
In other words... tell the truth under penalty of being sued.
I believe Joe Biden has done nothing wrong. I also don't believe all the BS claims about millions being passed to him. If they want to publically imply hes committing crimes let them be forced to prove it.
