... but I would have no problem with arresting the bunch of them and bulldozing their blockade off of the road.

inconsiderate jerk shouldn't expose someone to the risk of getting ran over by a police cruiser and having a gun pointed at them.
Pretty much everything in this video is wrong.

Tribal police have broken the blockade of climate protesters blocking the way to Nevada’s Burning Man festival – as footage shows police taking a no-nonsense approach to activists.

Video taken in Nevada shows about six protesters from the Seven Circles group and Extinction Rebellion blocking a road with a trailer, causing traffic chaos and miles of traffic jams.

The protesters locked themselves in the trailer and appeared to clash with those trying to attend the Burning Man festival before police were called on Aug. 27.

Climate activists cause several miles of traffic chaos by blocking route to Burning Man

Burning Man traffic was brought to a recent standstill by a group of anti-capitalist climate change activists who blocked the main road to the festival.

On Sunday (28 August), nearly half a dozen protestors from Seven Circles stood themselves in the middle of the road used to enter the desert venue. Some even chained themselves to a trailer parked on the road as well.

snip============================

They added that their protests were aimed at the “popularisation of Burning Man among affluent people who do not live the stated values of Burning Man, resulting in the commodification of the event.”

Seven Circles argued that the annual Black Rock Desert event’s goal of becoming carbon-negative by 2030 is “insufficient to tackle the pressing crisis”.

Video footage circulating social media shows Nevada rangers driving through the activist’s barricade before an officer gets out wielding a gun and making arrests.

“You’re trespassing on tribal land,” another ranger informs a woman.

Those who succeeded the great numbers of original citizens who were nearly slaughtered to extinction and driven brutally to live on land the European descendants didn't want are not the ones who have been poisoning the land which was stolen from them.

Thank you, lapucelle, for pointing out something everyone should know already if they simply took the time to think.

Apparent police misconduct does not turn a criminal act into an acceptable one. That was far more than a minor inconvenience to make a point.

And I'm not sure what restrictions there are for tribal police on their own land.
