it's a play on the title of F. Hayek's book, "The Road To Serfdom" I'm just coming to the "same" conclusion he did, but from an entirely different direction. And we're going at it faster these days.....

Hayek was worried about the spread of Marxist/communist ideology, and thought we were all headed to state-controlled slavery. The John Birch Society was a big promoter of the book.

Old anti- Communist, Cold War stuff. I remember that even as the kid I was during the 50's and beyond. We had to duck under our desks for air raid practice and stuff.
