When Mitch McConnell dies I will grave dance my feet bloody.

I make no apologies.

He is the single most evil person in government today, and has been a long time.

He's the one that gave us our current SCOTUS.

I will be happy and make a toast to Satan for finally calling him home.

The Kentucky legislature passed a bill that requires a governor to fill a vacant Senate seat with a member of the departed senator’s party, and requires the governor to choose a replacement for the seat from a list of 3 candidates chosen by the leadership of the former senator's party.

In other words, I wouldn't expect any replacement to be better, and perhaps worse.

Beshear said the changes violate the 17th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, which sought "to remove the power to select U.S. senators from political party bosses."

"It delegates the power to select a representative to an unelected, unaccountable political committee that only represents a fraction of Kentuckians, when a senator is supposed to represent all of us," Beshear wrote.

The 17th Amendment states that "the legislature of any State may empower the executive thereof to make temporary appointments until the people fill the vacancies by election as the legislature may direct."

Beshear also wrote in his veto statement that SB 228 violates Section 152 of Kentucky's constitution, which states a governor "shall" fill appointments or vacancies in the state at large. The governor wrote that "no conditions, qualifications, or limits are placed on that appointment power" in that section of the constitution.

Hopefully, he'll be re-elected this November and will also get a chance to test that law.

astounded that Christians (or persons of any other religion or even atheists) could have such convoluted ideas about what is moral. It makes me sad.

I’m certainly not condoning any of his (or anyone else’s) bad behavior or saying they cannot be held accountable legally or politically. I just think it’s better to empathize with someone’s pain and leave the judgement of his soul to a higher spirit.

I’ll leave it here. I’m just surprised that so many here are angry at magats who are truly mean and yet they think it’s ok to be like them.

She abused her office.

A government watchdog has alleged that Elaine Chao, former transportation secretary and wife of Republican Senator Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, abused her power while in office. The watchdog said that she should be prosecuted for it.

An inspector general overseeing the Transportation Department announced its findings in a 44-page report released on Wednesday. The report accused Chao of a dozen instances of using her office's staff to conduct personal tasks and work related to promoting the Foremost Group, a New York-based shipping business owned by her father and sister. The business does extensive business within China, according to the Associated Press.

even if everybody is en pointe. I hope they don't cremate the old buzzard, that would reduce the dance floor to nearly nothing.

I'm not anticipating grave dancing, I just hope the old asshole is forced to retire.

46. Makes me think of the "Is Thatcher Dead Yet?" site

For years it said "No, check back later"

I checked back when she died and it had been updated to "Yes and she's not coming back. Tell us how you're celebrating"

With links to Facebook pages about the reactions and celebrations. Gotta give the Brits credit, no crocodile tears or phoney tsk-tsks of "Don't speak ill of dead"

Maybe we need one of these for McConnell and/or Trump (Bush II and Cheney deserve them as well.)

This was my favorite reaction on the Thatcher sites

When I realised Margaret Thatcher was dead, I did a double fist pump and shouted, "Fucking brilliant!"

Everyone around me was disgusted, and looking back, I suppose it was out of order.

Especially as I was the first paramedic at the scene.

I don't feel that now is the time. He is the only check on the MAGAts in Congress who has any actual power just at the moment. I can hold out until 2025.

When that didn't work he voted to repeal it over and over. Voted against a child health care protection act.

He didn't give a rats ass about how many could die from no health insurance.

I hope he is already pissing blood by the quart.
I hope he has really painful cramps and migraines.
I hope he has IBS and vomits up to 666 times a day.
I hope it hurts for him to sit down and stand up.
I hope he dies alone.

Got the picture?

I think forget with the very destructive, but sometimes big clown show that is drumphf, how awful McConnell is.

I remember him gloating over the blatant hypocrisy of blocking Merrick Garland's Supreme Court seat and then ramming through Amy Coney Barrett like a week before the election.
