If the former president knew that Giuliani was not of sound mind, it puts forth credible evidence that Donald Trump “behaved with willful recklessness in his attempts nullify the 2020 election.” It also adds another layer to the “crazy” conspiracy theories the duo spouted in the weeks after the Republicans lost the White House. Whispers of Giuliani’s issue with alcohol are not new because he even refuted the rumors in 2021. “I’m not an alcoholic,” he told NBC New York. “I probably function more effectively than 90 percent of the population” ...

Seems to be demonstrably false in Rudy's case (wait is this a landscaping business?). Regardless, it is totally something every alcoholic says.
