The masterminds like tfg should get more.
His guideline range was around 30. all of the Jan 6 defendants are getting big breaks from what federal sentencing guidelines suggest.

We always tried to remember the basic rule: Your client may not be going home, but make sure that you are able to go home.

a great deal more than the professionals in the same field who work primarily in academia
or higher up in the ranks of power.
