A simple question...

...using simple logic as criteria.

Wouldn't an innocent man who is charged with serious crimes and running for President of the United States want a speedy trial, to clear his name before anyone votes?

and wouldn't a guilty man want as lengthy a delay to a trial as possible in order to use his office, if elected, to obstruct and influence the prosecution of those charges?

and aren't Trump's actions evidence of consciousness of guilt?

Neither can any Republican supporters in the state.

He should have been eager to cooperate and urging everyone under his authority to be fully forthcoming.

The way he constantly tried to block and impede that investigation made him look guilty as hell.

Their hope is that the prosecution won't be ready in time, and if the quicker date is granted and the prosecution isn't ready, then they usually go free.

However, Fani Willis has spent a lot of time on this, and said she and the DA's office is ready to go whenever they want. She even asked for all of them to be tried on October 23, in a few months.

So... bluff failed.

that Trump isn't even pretending to want a speedy trial.

If he was an innocent man, he'd want to clear his name ASAP.

His legal defense fund PAC is going broke and he needs a lot more money from suckers.... err..
"concerned citizens" to help replenish it.
