(4,018 posts)for anyone to simply explain to me what Paxton finally did that caused TX to try and get rid of him after the voters failed several times. Figured it must have been pretty bad if the general population couldn't see fit to relieve him of his duties.

(16,131 posts)He was sued by fired staff and lost. Asked the legislature to pay for it. Apparently that was a bridge too far.
More to it than that, but it was a factor.
