"Presumed....innocent"

This quaint little phrase needs to be changed to, "presumed not guilty."

Because Motherfucker is a lot of fucking things, but innocent is not one of them.

Changes the context, doesn't it?

And that just adds psychological weight against people who truly should be presumed innocent unless proven guilty

The rule of law is such. As guaranteed under the 6th Amendment of trial by jury of one's peers.

For example, do you believe that Lee Harvey Oswald is guilty of murdering JFK? He was never found, guilty

Is racist right-wing asshole Ryan Palmeter the Jacksonville shooter presumed innocent by virtue of never being tried in a court of law?

The way I see it, my use of the word, "quaint," more than applies.

(Talmudic and Islamic law is presumably where it was first used).

IMHO, in a court of law, where the defendant is accused of a crime, "presumption of not guilty," of that crime is more precise.
