And what this says about her wellbeing. Will she finally step down to 2 or 3" heels or would that be when she threw the towel in?

Go, Nancy!

Because everyone had been gearing up for Christine Pelosi vs. Scott Weiner for the past year.

"And I love Bernie, but if he gets re-elected next year he'll be 90ish at the end of that term. Enough."

So the answer is, yes, I think he should retire--especially because he'd undertake another 6-year term. That's way too risky.

I am consistent in my belief that mid-80s on up is just too damn old for people to be in extremely demanding and high positions of elected power.

Her seat is a safe Dem seat and there are plenty of young Democrats who she could pass the torch to.

Imo, that's not a valid excuse for calling for moving out our best and brightest.

435 members mean there's plenty of room for both. And the enormity of the responsibilities mean there's great need for both. (Though if one were possible, absolutely it'd have to be the proven best.)

In two years Nancy will probably retire, but I still support her leadership and courage.

If it wasn't for Pelosi's leadership that saved Democracy of J6. Nancy knew what needed to be done because she KNOWS how our government works.

to all in congress. When I saw that pic of her at the White House standing up pointing at Trump with a room full of white guys, I thought she is the bravest woman I know.

None of them had the guts to stand up to Trump and tell him to his face how stupid his ideas were.

and that would be more helpful.

I'm not saying that she needs to retire, but at 83, that's realistic planning her exit would make sense.

I think that she's great and smarter than most in the room, so I trust that ultimately she'll do what makes sense.
