MAGAS and Climate Change

I think they will be in denial until they can't be anymore, as it gets worse, and then for them it will be God's will.

One thing that might start changing Republican minds is the individual's pocketbook such as insurance costs or not being able to get insurance.

I don't know. Anyone have thoughts on this?

They'll say "well, there's nothing we could have done about it," and "it's too late anyway."

When it starts affecting them financially, they'll blame Democrats for not developing domestic energy options more aggressively.

And when their roofing shingles are melting, they'll see Trump online asking for donations to water the greens at Mar a Lago, and they'll liquidate their failing 401k's to send him money.

or other states predicted to be hard hit by climate change

The populations of FL and TX for example continue to grow as people move there.

...being manipulated (surprise, surprise!) by the fossil fuel industry's attempt to slow and stop us from moving away from CO2 emissions (check out pragerU for kids).

republican citizens have no thoughts of their own on climate change, they are just following what the fossil fuel industry is paying people to tell them.

Swears “it’s always been this hot “ and it’s not worth arguing that point with her. Difference now in Texas Hill Country is there are no lakes or rivers for swimming, skiing, or fishing to set a spell and cool off. After years of La Niña weather pattern drought the promised heralded arrival of El Niño to save us has delivered no change but only made this summer hotter and drier. Their vacation lake house has been on the market for months at an astronomical price they feel entitled to - with no lookers. Even a potentials buyers visit to the Medina Lake “puddle” with is quarried rock walls is like a trip to a pizza oven - day or night. The heat in those rocks never disappates.

They will not change their company polices to help the world.

They in fact are now trying to figure out how to make money off of climate change
and devestation.

China and Russia are doing the same. How can the chaos and instability caused
by climate change help them gain wealth and power.
