(61,033 posts)Even if it was 50/50 that's a good sign for Dem possibilities in a red state.

Demographically, that's a lot of Biden supporters.
The booing wasn't initial; it was reactionary, following cheers from Trumpers. Then the main burst was mixed, sort of the high strings whistling and cheering and the cellos and basses booing. High pitches are more salient to humans than low pitches.

(3,582 posts)We're not fighting each other over whose subjective opinion is more valuable.
I happen to disagree with your opinion interpreting the volume of 'yeas' to nays'. But it is totally subjective, so why would I call you out for it? After all, no one really knows the percentage of pro- vs anti-tRump voters at that football game??
Your opinion on DU has value to me, as does the other poster.
Have a wonderful day!

(10,497 posts)61,000 people from probably all 99
counties. Iowans who follow sports love Iowa, Iowa State, and the Cubbies. Its in the DNA of Iowans.
I have a relative who flies back from Reno every year, bringing his two kids, so they can attend an Iowa game. It is a highlight of their year.

(30,253 posts)The photo of people giving him the finger is stronger than his claim of boos. I heard a few dissenting voices through the crowd but mostly cheers and adoring fans right in front of him. Probably plants, I cant believe hes there for the love of football. 🙄 So thank you, BTC, for helping to spread his propaganda.

He deserves to be booed.

(1,879 posts)it is in central Iowa, which is redder than eastern Iowa, where the University of Iowa is. I see from the picture that he is in the Iowa State section, hmm. I've wondered how it would have been if the game had been in Iowa City instead of Ames. Would he have participated in the "Iowa Wave" tradition? He'd have a hard time with even a couple minutes focused on the kids in the Childrens' Hospital that overlooks the U of I stadium and not on him.
I'm pretty sure Iowa State and the City of Ames are eating the cost of Dump visiting.

Hes made it perfectly clear in recent months that he is going to take apart our government, and turn it into a totalitarian dictatorship. What the fuck is wrong with people that are not are scared to death at the proposition of him getting back in power ?
