Black, Latino, Muslim. Jewish or other, it doesn't matter...
I'm wondering who would send them over the edge if this person ran as a liberal candidate for president.
It's for a story I'm working for. I need a last name for an incidental character. This person is going to run for President in the future and lose the election to the bad guy.
By the way, his first name is "Matt."

(73,761 posts)Last name five letters. Its short and sweet. It even hints at why he primarily promotes his first name to the exclusion of his last.
I just decided that he was born and raised in Dearborn, MI.
Bravo, thanks. Matt Hakim For President 2032

(33,324 posts)Tootoo ᑐᑐ is an Inuit surname.
Inuit people are both culturally and biologically very distinct from neighbouring indigenous communities in the rest of the Americas, or the Saami on the Russian side. Studies comparing the different languages of the Inuit with Ojibwe or Cree indicate that they originated completely separately.
People with the name include:
Jordin Tootoo (born 1983), Inuktitut: ᔪᐊᑕᓐ ᑐᑐ, Canadian hockey player
Hunter Tootoo (born 1963), Inuktitut: ᕼᐊᓐᑕ ᑐᑐ, Canadian politician

(58,785 posts)against the fence at the mere mention of liberals, liberalism, Democrats. I mention it because I believe race is overstated as the driver. But of course it matters; we saw what electing a black president did -- definitely more fear was engendered as they imagined their world slipping away.
That said, I think you should put women's equality and power on that list of what engenders the most fear in MAGAs. I believe anxiety and even rage over the revolution that women's equality brought on is a huge driver. Remember, conservative men agreed to give the vote to black men a half century before women, and 2016 demonstrated that even today a woman candidate will cause some men who voted liberal for years, including for a black president, to vote Republican to stop her election.
Black men are only 6+% of the nation. Women, who include all races and ethnicities, over 50%.
Fear of what changes will drive the most men, and women, to become socially reactionary?
