Now that a new NFL season has started

I feel it necessary to gently remind people that the NFL is an inherently racist organization.
At least as recently as 2021 the NFL operated under the principle that black players were cognitively inferior to white players.

The NFL on Wednesday pledged to halt the use of "race-norming" — which assumed Black players started out with lower cognitive function

This is the organization millions worship every Sunday?

In my nearly 44 years, I have seen the Browns play a LOT of BAD football. Much more bad than good, before and after the move. I do have fond memories of the Bernie Kosar-led teams, but am too young to remember the Brian Sipe era with the Kardiac Kids. 1999 and beyond, we have had approximately 10 billion QBs. Many of them long since forgotten, and those who aren't are usually remembered for all the wrong reasons. So while I was frequently embarrassed by the team, I was never actually ashamed of them...until last year.

To be sure, the current QB has never been convicted of anything. But how many women have come forward? That much smoke usually means fire. As a survivor of sexual assault myself, it hurts to see kids wearing that man's jersey. As long as he's on the team, I won't watch or listen to their games. As long as money is involved, character doesn't matter...and neither do women.
