On the impeachment stunt - Are they even thinking about the consequences?

If it were actually possible to impeach and convict then Kamala Harris becomes the president.

Oh, the horror!

What fucking idiots.

Did the Benghazi investigations hurt Hillary? Did the Hillary server investigation announced by Comey hurt Hillary?

Did the Swift Boat Bull Shit hurt John Kerry?

The Magat party has no defense for Trump's crimes so its strategy is to bring President Biden down to Trump's level.

What happened when Kerry decided not to aggressively fight back against the Swift Boaters?

Democrats need to fight back, just like Senator John Fetterman did, the Magats need to be mocked, the reporters asking them stupid questions need to be mocked.

It needs to be done sooner rather than later.

So far, we, with great assistance from truth, are winning the battle for intelligent public perception.

But you're right that aggressive noise and cosplay should reach some who can't sift truth out of the confusion always being sowed to hide it. "To stop the allegation IS the crime" from permanently embedding in some minds, forever after to be identified by the media as its victim's "baggage".

Just look at how lying allegations of corruption with Hillary's home server lent "credibility" in vulnerable minds to lying allegations that her meeting with "Wall Street" executives was proof of corruption, which lead some to, tragically, "I just can't trust Hillary" and even "Lock her up!" And, of course, creation of the eternal "Hillary's baggage."

So, I've talked myself into agreeing we need to help those who are allegation-vulnerable. For them, we need public figures to engage in frequent cosplays of aggressive outrage at the allegations, arm waving and interruptions when discussing, shaking people off the preconceptions into self-protective mode by stoking fears, sensationalize and reduce the issues to emotional catchphrases. While always remaining truthful.

I'm not joking, I'm pragmatic -- if it works, do it: we need to provide the light, or loud noise as the case may be, for people lost in the smoke.

All they want is to be able to use the word impeachment in the same sentence whenever they are talking about Biden.

The plan will be to keep the "inquiry" going as long as possible and keep talking about it. They know they have nothing, hence an inquiry and not an actual impeachment.

The Republican Party lost big from factional misuse of impeachment. Killed Speaker Newt, who went off to hawk fake cancer cures.

Of course, factional loyalty has required self-corruption of the offended Republican voters of the 1990s. But, only some have shown they have no bottom to hit. A Politico article speculates "Even if the senate clears Donald tRump, the Republican Party could pay the cost for a generation."

Its survival even as an assemblage of corrupt, traitorous, interdependent interests scrabbling to hold into power is very questionable now.

The Magat party will not self-implode. The Democratic party needs to fight back.

If the Magat party were to ever control the presidency and Congress our democracy is over.

Russia will do everything in its power to see that Donald Trump wins the election. Control of the Senate favors the Magat party. There are more toss up seats that Democrats have to win than there are Magat seats.

I feel good about the House, but then again we have gerrymandering and voter suppression.

The goal of the impeachment movement isn’t to remove Joe Biden from office. It’s to tag him with more impeachments than Trump. That’s it. They know the Senate would acquit in any impeachment. They don’t care. They just want to get Trump out of the impeachment cellar.

I think they realize Trump will be the nominee... so they need to have a Democrat they believe they might be able to beat. I think they view Harris as that person. I see them really focusing on her this election, even with Biden running, they'll paint her as socialist evil and incompetent. They're going to focus on "what if".

The Democrat response needs to be elevating Harris. We all know she's a good person but she hasn't been front and center a lot. I think a lot of people compare her to Dan Quayle as far as "being there." The administration needs to give her some public facing roles that are wins. I'll be the first to say she's been very hidden. I hardly ever see her on the news. Give her some victories so people can see we have a solid successor if something happens to the President.
