Speaking at a fundraising event in McLean, Virginia, Biden told donors that he would remain focused on what matters most — helping the American people.

"Everybody always asks about impeachment. I get up every day — not a joke — *not* focused on impeachment. I’ve got a job to do. I've got to deal with the issues that affect the American people, every single solitary day."

Biden reflected on how Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene sought to impeach him his very first day in office. The extremist Republican, a leader in the party, did in fact file articles of impeachment one day after President Biden was sworn in. Biden added:

"I don’t know quite why, but they just knew they wanted to impeach me. And now, best I can tell, they want to impeach me because they want to shut down the government."

they have a crazy idea that Biden will somehow control the direction of all these legal troubles affecting Republicans who are facing court proceedings.

And if I dare say it, I think that this tactic worked somewhat during the Clinton years. You look at Clinton's Centrist, triangulated agenda and you just got to wonder. He gave up on so many social programs that were a big part of the Democratic platform. Clinton was probably the first who faced this massive onslaught of pressure from the Right, which was aided by the non-objective media. The fact that he survived it was a miracle, but at what great cost.
