What's the deal with Alina Habba?

First off, this is about the fraud case of Letitia James in New York.

Now, didn't they recently put this case on hold because of some issue with the judge?

Michael Cohen reported that Habba had made a terrible error in failing to request a jury trial, and now the whole thing was a bench trial.

But, didn't Habba get kicked off of every single Trump case, and demoted to some PAC work. Or, something? Who really made this error?

It is a bit of a struggle to keep it all straight. Cohen said that because it was now a bench trial, it would save maybe 8 full weeks of jury selection. Hah! I hope this is true. But, I think I am a bit mixed up on it.

I mean, you can't make this stuff up. Cohen said this judge was really strict. I have been following the Georgia case, but the New York case has suddenly gotten pretty interesting.

failure to request a trial by jury fall in terms of ineffective assistance of counsel? Is this a point he can make?

I laughed when I heard that he waived this right. He can't bs the judge now. But, I don't know how she ended up back on the case unless she filed this inadequate document before she left, and we're just finding out about it.

She's never gonna live this down!
