25. Paxton wanted the House to rubber stamp paying the $3.3 million settlement

of the whistleblower lawsuit with taxpayer money. There was also that kerfuffle where Dade Phelan (speaker) was accused of being inebriated on the House floor, but seemed like a political hatchet job since Phelan’s office was investigating the ethics complaint against Paxton. That’s what moved them to pursue the impeachment when they did.

The corrupt and tRumpist senate has a habit of stepping all over the House as they did in 2021 when Hughes and his cabal of unnamed lawyers injected new, shoddy, and awful legislation in place of the House’s normal deliberations. Doesn’t matter how bloody-red the Speaker is, the repug senators will continue to label him and others however tRump and the fascist west Texas billionaire donors tell them.

Basically, there’s a war within the tRumpian Texas party. The level of corruption, incompetence, and underhanded legislating is about to go through the Capitol dome.

I didn't vote for Paxton. I didn't vote for Abbott. I didn't vote for Dan Patrick etc etc etc .

My state rep and state senator are both Democrats.

Most of Texas is Republican. They don't care about refugees, pregnant women and voting rights. Although they care about blackouts, there has only been 2021. So far, there have not been any more. We keep getting warnings, but it hasn't happened yet, so the Republicans just don't care.


Ask the Republicans what they think. I'm sure they're happy with this.
