It looks like trump is going to forgo the next republican debate, and planning to come to Detroit to

to hold an event on the UAW strike, blasting arguing that Electric Vehicles should reject EVs, and arguing that they will be made outside the U.S. and UAW members will lose jobs.

"Sept 18 (Reuters) - Former U.S. President Donald Trump plans to give a speech in Detroit on Sept. 27 to a crowd of union workers, skipping the second Republican presidential debate, an aide said on Monday, and instead inserting himself into a dispute between striking workers and America's leading automakers.

The prime time speech is expected to be delivered to auto workers and other blue collar union members, the aide added. The speech comes as Trump has been harshly critical of President Joe Biden's electric vehicle policies and urged autoworkers to back his candidacy."

Michigan Democrats are urging President Biden to join UAW strikers.

"President Biden is coming under increasing pressure from some Democratic lawmakers to do something none of his predecessors appear to have done in office: join striking workers walking a picket line.

"As the United Auto Workers strike against all three of the nation’s biggest automakers, numerous Democrats in Michigan and around the country have expressed concern as Biden’s likely rival in next year’s election, former president Donald Trump, tries to woo union voters and weaken a crucial Democratic constituency by making his own visit to a strike site."

The question is will the auto workers and labor be fooled again as they were by Ronald Reagan, where too many blue collar workers voted for him, and that resulted in almost a complete destruction of unions in this country.

Will they remember the lies of trump when he occupied the WH? He was no friend of labor, but were fooled by his populist message.

Are they going trust an insurrectionist, liar, racist, sexist, and conman?

The republican strategy is obvious. They are blaming Democrats and President for his climate change policies, and transitioning to clean energy. Not only are all the republican candidates on that same page, but so elected republicans. J.D. Vance is no friend of labor, and sure doesn't care about auto workers:

2024 will be a critical test for the Auto Workers, and labor, and if they allow themselves to be conned again into believing false republican promises that never happened, it will be the end of unions, and you can kiss workers rights goodbye forever.

Crowds are where he thrives.

he should be in prison or at least jail awaiting trial.

This is not good.

Watch the media normalize it all. It’s sick.

What happened? He didn't make a peep when GM closed it, and he made bullshit campaign promises there in 2016. Lordstown, OH.

THE ONLY Policy he has listed for 2024 is another huge tax cut for their owners.

You have to be a special kind of stupid to be taken in by him. He speaks like an 8th grader, with the emotional maturity of an 8 year old.

I guess my sad conclusion is that fully half the people in this nation are a special kind of stupid. I don’t like that either because true or not, it’s arrogant.

Some clown thinks the events of 1787 precede the events of 1776, and Trump doesn't think he's an intellectual match for the guy, now THAT's real insecurity.

Or else, maybe he doesn't even know that 1776 precedes 1787. In Republicanworld, it probably doesn't even matter any more.

with the old leadership. If he pulls off a great contract, it’ll be great for the Dem Party. I think it is headed in that direction. Lots of factions in the union, just need a leader with a big success to unite all of them. The bigots are a minority in the union. They just get a lot of attention. The elected UAW leadership is pretty diverse and elected by the members.
