One thing Republicans have over-looked about Donald Trump.

He's a loser.

He lost the popular vote both times that he ran for president. He lost to Hillary by about 3 million votes and to Joe Biden by more than 7 million votes. The only reason he won against Hillary and came close in his race against Biden was because of the Electoral College vote.

But the Electoral College vote has nothing to do with the individual races of Republicans running for the House and Senate. They have been running under the mistaken idea that Trump was too popular for them to separate from him. The opposite is true. He was very unpopular in both of his races, when measured by the popular vote, which is the most accurate way for them to measure his influence on the electorate.

He was never what they thought he was. He was always the loser. The Electoral College gave the false impression that he was very popular with the American people. All along, they have been traveling on a yellow brick road.

He has always been a loser.

1. We don't need the electoral College

States rights means only one thing. Slavery. Period. Fuck red states.

We don’t need the separation of church and state. Organized religion doesn’t give a fuck about the separation of church and state especially the PAPISTS. (Which I’ve been told is a pejorative term.) Imagine my Ennui. The Catholic Church spends their tax exempt dollars to codify religious beliefs. (And build mansions for their priests) Let’s do away with the tax exempt status, turn loose the assessors and send the bill to the Pope. He ain’t to happy with his bishops nowadays. For good reason. His bishops are like republicans.

There is no one in the land of the free more in favor of religious freedom then me. But organized religions who want to force their religion on others by law or judicial fiat know nothing of freedom.

5. The problem for the Republicans is that if the leadership abandons

Trump they will lose the votes of Trump’s supporters, and end up with a split vote. Also anyone who doesn’t support Trump will get primaried. If Trump’s not on the ballot his supporters will likely not bother to vote. In the long run Republicans are screwed. That’s why they’re trying to rig the system as fast as they can.

Ppl have short memories. Had they abandoned tfg following the 2020 election, ppl may have been ready to vote for someone else in ‘24. As it stands now, they’re damned if they do and damned if they don’t.

Just a thought

Republicans in general are losers. The last time a gopper prez candidate won the popular vote was 2004. Any edge they have in the House is due in part to gerrymandering and voter suppression. But I feel an upcoming drought in the effectiveness of their antics.

He managed to bully republicans and he got his rabid followers to terrorize them. Trump has been using these mob boss tactics for so long, he can do them in his sleep. Who knew it would be so easy to control so many?

9. he brought in more people to vote for him in 2020 than any GOP candidate by a long shot.

74M voted for him in 2020, the prior 3 elections only 60M voted for republicans.

What I don't understand is why the GOP overlooked the bankruptcies. One of the three pillars of the GOP was always business/rich ppl. They hate that shit.

This is what happens with a populist movement. The crowd can start calling the shots. that's why the old guard of the GOP is just hanging on for dear life and why Trump is supporting the UAW strikers.

Strange bedfellows.

15. In 2022 US House national number, Rethugs outvoted Dems by over 3 million total

Almost 6 million when you remove California.

And that was POST Roe being overturned.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2022_United_States_House_of_Representatives_elections

Popular vote

Rethugs 54,506,136

Dems 51,477,313

Rethugs +3,028,823

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2022_United_States_House_of_Representatives_elections_in_California

remove CA (capped by the Electoral College in terms of impact for POTUS)

Popular vote

Dems 6,743,737

Rethugs 3,859,666

Dems +2,884,071

and we were outvoted by almost 6 million nationally.

2024 is all about turnout, even more so than normal.

The keys will be how much the fear of Trump and Rethug christofascism drives people to the polls, and the state of the economy.

As I recall, most of the MAGA candidates that he supported not only lost, but lost bigly.

He is a loser in every sense of the word.
