1. Al Franken had to resign for less.

And yes “innocent until proven guilty.”

But you know Menendez will be used as a counterweight to Trump, to malign the entire Democratic Party.

Also bad optics as Menendez was selected as a replacement for Bob Torricelli, who also had accusations of corruption.

OTOH, I don’t see Menendez resigning as he would fear it would make him look guilty.
