Florida Man Shot by Police While Celebrating Ron DeSantis' New Gun Law

AFlorida man who fired a rifle to celebrate the state's new open carry laws before promptly being shot by a police officer has finally been arrested following a two-month stint in hospital.

Christian Labaut, 37, was shot by police on July 7 after he fired a gun into the air. A law enforcement officer shot him when he refused to comply with officers and began running away from them. He was arrested on September 15 following his recovery.

According to the arrest report seen by the Miami Herald, law enforcement traveled to an Upper East Side apartment complex near the 7800 block of Northeast 10th Avenue, Miami, where they found a Labaut wearing body armor and wielding a gun. Witnesses reportedly told officers that Labaut announced he was celebrating the new law and firing a string of bullets into the air. ................(more)

of July and New Year’s, there are always pleadings from the police do not shoot guns up into the air to celebrate, because you don’t know where those bullets will land. They may land on you or on an innocent person and kill them.

Also, note that in the body of the article it says Floridians by a large margin hate this new law; and by Floridians I mean Democrats AND Republicans!

Hint to Christian: An army surplus ammo vest probably filled with Snickers bars and bags of Cheetos is NOT body armor, no matter how cool and invulnerable you think it makes you look.

So let's see a smile, big tough guy. You reached the "FO" stage of "FAFO" and are still breathing.

In Albuquerque a woman shot at her boyfriend, bullet went through him and hit the head of her 7 year old. The kid is not expected to live. But gosh, take guns away? Restrict carrying them in public? Never! No matter how many are killed.

Bullets fired up into the air come down at the same speed they went up. People are killed this way every year, especially around new years and July 4th.
