https://www.cnn.com/videos/us/2023/09/14/qanon-jfk-michael-protzman-donie-osullivan-zw-orig-contd.cnnThis is a video, but I could not post the video. In the video a reporter discusses certain QAnon conspiracy theories with three QAnon supporters. The reporter also mentions previous incidents involving QAnon, John F. Kennedy Sr., and John F. Kennedy Jr.
CNN Video Description: Members of the far-right conspiracy theory QAnon believe that former president Donald Trump is a messianic figure who will save the world from a cabal of evil elites. But there is an offshoot of the conspiracy whose members also worship a different president a famous Democrat.
Think. Again.

Her son was an accused cult leader. She says he was a victim, too.

(CNN) Now the family tree goes like this, the man on the tape extolled confidently. John John and
Trump are cousins. And Trumps uncle is JFK Sr., and Joe Kennedy, who is also not dead
. And Trumps father is General George Patton, and his brother is Mussolini
Colleen Protzman listened on, despondent. The man talking on the tape was her son, Michael Protzman.
And the thing is, she said, he believes that.
Her son had become the leading figure in a QAnon off-shoot that believed John F. Kennedy Jr., who died in a plane crash off Marthas Vineyard in 1999, was alive and secretly working with former President Donald Trump to save the United States from an evil cabal.

(15,368 posts)being in the White House. Elvis remembers it but was only there once. Jr. was too young when he lived there to remember much.
Elvis said he wished the guy a few years ago had found him and invited him to the W.H. Elvis heard they served lot's a cheeseburgers. Of course, Elvis has lost a lot of weight except when he goes on a taco binge once in a while and gains a few pounds back. But the beard helps from nobody recognizing him.
Like I posted before, I only made the connection at the taco stand when he was at the window, singing "In The Ghetto." He thought nobody was around and admitted it was him when I told him I wouldn't tell nobody.
If any of yiz want me to say hello to him for you, let me know. It's already getting cold here in Montana and I guess he will fold up the taco truck in a couple of months.
Think. Again.

(17,757 posts)The Kennedy case remains juicy because it is about the big, bad government killing the President and covering it up so successfully. They are being told exactly what they want to hear.

(69,364 posts)I remember the "black helicopter" conspiracy theories in the mid-90s. That was all about the "new world order" run by a cabal of globalists, Jewish naturally. People watched the X-Files and thought it was a documentary. They read the Da Vinci Code and believed every word. Why? Because they were already predisposed toward paranoia, anti-semitism, and xenophobia.

(18,512 posts)If they can get people to focus of mindless matters rather than issues like global warming, alternative green energies, conservation of limited resources, social justice, economic justice and the myriad of social and cultural issues,.. it is to their advantage. If they can get people to focus on and take action on inconsequential issues it is better because their ambitions for self enrichment does not come under scrutiny, or get disrupted or derailed.
Diverting your attentions elsewhere is the name of their game,... Look,.. look over here,... see this shiny new object,.. focus on this instead. While their agendas craftily remain free of any attention or scrutiny what so ever - so they can operate off the radar screen - without someone looking over their shoulder.
Mission accomplished.
Changing the direction of society to better serve your immediate and longer term interests of minimal oversight.

(69,364 posts)Conveniently unfettered by actual facts - which would confuse and bewilder them - they eagerly consume a fantasy narrative that touches on all their own core beliefs and emotions. The stories resonate with people who are paranoid, people who feel powerless and are comforted to learn that none of their failures and misfortunes are their own fault. Instead, it's the fault of "those people" - a powerful group of meanies who have teamed up to take over the world.
Sadly, they're not wrong. There are a powerful group of meanies trying to take over the world. They're the people these confused Q followers believe and idolize: Putin, Trump, the Saudis, random billionaires.

(52,346 posts)Ever since I was a little girl I heard rumors about JFK after he was shot. I heard people say he wasn't really dead and that he was convalescing and would be back to take over the presidency and lead again.
I'm guessing that this rumor has morphed to now include Trump, who is the chosen one among the right-wing nutcases. Much like how they co-opted Jesus Christ and his teachings.
