MI: Pontiac Voters to Consider Marijuana Establishment Ordinances in Nov 7 Election

Shall the City of Pontiac, Oakland County, Michigan adopt Ordinance No.# 2406

An Ordinance to Allow Adult-Use Marihuana Establishments to Operate in the City of Pontiac Pursuant to the Michigan Regulation
and Taxation of Marihuana Act, Initiated Law 1 of 2018, Mcl 333.27951 et seq.; to Provide for Standards and Procedures to Permit and
Regulate Adult-Use Marihuana Establishments; to Provide for the Imposition of Permit Application Fees and Renewal Fees; and to
Impose Conditions for the Operation of Adult-Use Marihuana Establishments.

I don't use marijuana and have no desire to. But legalizing it like Michigan has done is a needed expansion of basic freedom.

And I don't think we should stop at marijuana, there are many other drugs people take recreationally that should also not be illegal. Mushrooms are seeing a push for legalization. I really only think heroin, fentanyl, meth, and a hand full of other designer drugs need to remain illegal, everything else is a personal choice.
