(4,493 posts)I got the flu and covid shots last week but didn't get the rsv. Now I'm glad I waited and will make an appointment for next week.

(9,072 posts)Whatever risk there is from combining vaccines seems to be mixed in with the low baseline risk inherent with any single vaccine. It isn't worth focusing on.

(4,044 posts)She sees several doctors for different conditions.
A few months ago, she received the shots for COVID, RSV, flu, and some other conditions in rapid succession. Perhaps all within two weeks.
She got very sick and attributed it to the vaccines.
I tried to convince her that her body, especially her arms, went into shock from having so many vaccines close together.
Nope. She believes it was just from having the shots.
She's a Republican. (Bet you didn't see that coming.)

(25,251 posts)I was going to go to the pharmacy for my RSV shot this week. I guess I'll have to wait until after the 1st weekend in October.

(4,002 posts)I asked for it when I had the Covid shot last week. Apparently, my insurance wouldn't cover it, and they said something like $325. I think it's because I'm 59 and it's recommended for 60 and over. Maybe next year.

to the COVID shots - temp 102, achey from head to toe, and feeling like Im carved out of ice.
Im not concerned about the safety of getting more than 1 vaccine at the same time. I just want to know how Im reacting to each one.

(10,750 posts)We had an appointment for flu, COVID, and RSV.
The explanation wasn't that we would get sick from all three at the same time, rather it was the possibility that the RSV would compromise the efficacy of the flu and COVID shots.
For those who already got both, it's probably fine. The Pharm said they were just notified to take this precaution.
