is a Gold Fund, or a Fund which holds come gold. But that is it. Why would you need gold bars unless you are John Wick or paying off a foreign agent?

If/when the zombie apocalypse arrives, gold will assume a value based on the local market. A 1-oz gold coin could buy you a hamberder Fries are an additional 3 1/10-oz coins. It could be your last purchase anyway, as n’eer-do-wells and scalawags tend to follow people home who pay for stuff with gold coins.

1 yr i gave my 3 daughters ea a maple leaf to b set aside as getaway money, aka the price of an abortion or a plane ticket.

my ex gave me a couple for xmas 1 yr, cuz he had no idea what to get me.
he acknowledged that it was also getaway money, that i had every right to have a ticket out, cuz he cd be a colossal asshole.
sadly my cleaning lady lifted it, but did not use it to get away.

til the zombie apocalypse makes it worthless, a bit of gold will get u from here to somewhere else.
where that asshole was planning to go, and y, w 3 kilo, i wd seriously like to know.

let me say that a bit more simply- gold is getaway money. y did he think he needed 3 kilos?

Absent the pretense and all other things being equal, it's a damned odd thing to do for anyone who didn't come of age in the Depression to even consider.

A little over an ounce.

The 3/8" -16" necklace I bought in 1984 for $200 and the Black Hills Gold slider for $135 in 2005 from a Golddigger's shop in Deadwood, SD. It's all the gold I own.

Appraised today....over $2,500 if I were yo replace them.

My grandfather had the prescience to buy FIFTY Krugerrands back in the day; the family has been selling them off for a while but we've barely dumped half of them. They were an excellent investment.

The platinum is in bars, and don't even get me started on the 5-pound BRICKS of silver he had in the bottom of his desk

stashed in a shoe box under my bed. It is an old Illinois corruption trick I learned many many years ago. There was this Illinois Sec.of State, Paul Powell from down in Johnson County Illinois who stashed stolen money away in shoe boxes. At the time I thought it was a neat idea so I stashed some hundreds away under my bed in a Buster Brown Shoe box. I can't recall for sure but don't believe the money I stashed was stolen.

The media, as well as this OP, is greatly expanding their size for effect. They want you to believe it is the type of gold bars you always see in the movies. An oz. of gold is about 3/4 in. by 1 1/2 in. by 1/16 inch. You could fit $10,000 of these "bars" in a men's wallet without knowing they were there.

10 or 12 yellow-colored bricks that I found buried in my yard. Also a lot of plain red bricks. Why they were buried, I have no idea.
