Looks like it, and legal experts think Donnie's case for appeal is very weak.

Trump's side doesn't.

(70,274 posts)there r still a couple things that will be litigated, starting monday.
whatever happens, it will happen verrrrry slowwwwly.
it took 10 yrs to unwind the s&l scandal. the govt made money in the end.
if the assets r sold, there will b many attaching their judgements to the proceeds. e jean carroll gets a bite, michael cohen might get a bite. the guys who do the legal work get paid, too.
im pretty sure whats leftover, if anything, goes to cheato as cash.
i cant wait to see the final numbers, but its gonna be 10 yrs.

(14,907 posts)Between existing debt, the judgement yet to be determined, and any new claimants, there won't be enough value in any of those rat traps to pay a penny back to the syndicate, err, family.
Each of those properties is heavily borrowed against. Each is highly over appraised. And not only is any judgement likely to exceed the $250M minimum, it carries interest payments from each year they occurred (going back 10 years).
It's gonna be a Doogie of a bill. And the longer they appeal, the bigger it will get.
