Some of us baby boomers/gen-xers ( I'm on the border) tried and failed to stop big oil and other corporations from trashing this earth. I am sorry for what we are leaving behind. This is the main reason I never had a child. I just couldn't bear thinking about them and what they've inherited from us.

The ones who make money off of it have convinced a LOT of people it isn't human made. They have spent a LOT of money on disinformation so they could buy another mega yacht or private plane. I've resigned myself to not being here when the earth is no longer inhabitable in a few decades. Nothing has been done because of greed. Plenty of people take it seriously; I know I have tried to change my carbon and pollution footprint, but I'm just one person.

There has to be a whole attitude change and it's not just us older folks. I know a young couple in their 20's who consistently use plastic eating utensils and Styrofoam plates and cups. They know climate change is human made, they just don't care. Oh and recycle? They don't bother.

2). This is at 1.5C, which globally is where we are this year, thanks to El Nino.

1.5C is the the "optimal" outcome hoped for as a "stretch goal" in the Paris Accords.

We are arguing over budgets and boundaries and bullshit., when they are worried about their children drowning, or frying, or famine and starvation from global warming once we are all gone.

We was fooled!
We bought into the sexy muscle car, big house and America first we saw nightly on the boob tube. The devil made us do it and too many of us voted for Reagan when we had the chance.
