I live in a red city in blue state southern Oregon, this neighbor lives across the street from 3 houses with Trump flags, bumper stickers, etc. I walked by after seeing these for years to see this flag, I guess he got sick of looking at the Trump stuff.

I also live in southern Oregon near a red town, and would be a little leery of having that flag on my place, probably get vandalized at the very least, and would actually be concerned for my life.

I have enough here to handle pretty much everything and the training to use it, but also have several others here including 6 grand kids that would be endangered too... So must be a little more cautious.

(13,269 posts)I didn't realize until I came home and looked at the pics. The first flag said same things and had flames under the words which were even larger. Flag was a bit bigger.
I had walked by a few times and saw first flag but never had phone with me until today.

Then, when they see they lost the state, they say my God, it mustve been stolen because I dont know any Democratic voters in my neighborhood. There are none of them around here.
I have lived in plenty of red areas, districts, towns, and neighborhoods, and I let all of them know exactly who I am, and who I vote for

Don't let them scare you. Most can barely get off their lazy boy.

(4,443 posts)I always fly a Black History flag in February and a Ukraine flag since the war began. I have college kids living in the house next door and the only time I've ever had any trouble is when one of their parties got too wild and my Black History flag disappeared. I sent my husband over there to have a talk. The next thing I knew, they came over and apologized. I told them they owed me money for my flag and they paid me.
The next February, I put my flag up and the first party they had that month, I crashed. I walked in the house --it was so loud I couldn't hear myself yelling, but finally someone noticed the old battle-ax in the middle of the living room yelling and shut off the music. I told them who I was and that I hoped they had a good time, but that if anyone touched my Black History flag, I'd have to bring out my bitch skills, which not to brag, but they are quite excellent. There were yes ma'ams and nods all around the room. You could have heard a pin drop. The host made his way to me and pissed down one leg and up the other trying to be so polite, offered me a beer. I declined and told them to party on.
I doubt very seriously I'll EVER have any more trouble with that bunch, but graduation comes every year. I wish they'd post some house rules about what a mean old bitch of a neighbor they need to look out for. It'd save everyone a lot of inconvenience and embarrassment.

(656 posts)Change the name of your wireless router (if you have one) to something like "Jail Trump" or "Trump Loves Putin" or whatever else you think up. You don't even have to be using the router for actual Internet connectivity. Have some old ones out in the garage? Just give them a password, an insulting Trump themed name and plug them into a wall socket. They don't even have to be connected to the Internet. They'll still broadcast to your neighborhood and they are completely anonymous. Maybe find a unused and secluded power outlet at some local public building and just leave the old wireless router you had sitting in the garage there instead of discarding it. You'd be surprised how far a wireless routers name can be seen when someone scans for a wireless connection
