Which puts Trump third in line of succession, and a backed by people who will try to make that happen.

…how many Republican officeholders would risk the wrath of MAGA by voting against him? I could easily see it being a straight party-line vote.

That want the speaker roll and they're not going to let someone that's done zero work take it from them.

It’s too much of a commitment and interfering with his golf, grifting and rallies..for starters. He has no clue of Roberts Rules of Order or the protocol of the House. Doesn’t pay enough and he won’t be important enough for his ego. So, I doubt it would happen. 🥱

Of course they are going to try it. And the impeachments without evidence of Biden and Harris will be front and center. Like it will ever come to fruition.

With all those criminal charges and trials that he would have to be at! And he would not ever know what it takes to bring a bill to the floor to be debated and voted on! His arrogance and ego would be an embarrassment to prior Speakers from the past! He would also bashing his own caucus if they didn’t agree to make him grand pupa!

He is not capable of doing the job and him being back in Washington would remind the voters of the chaos that follows him everywhere.
