Would it be possible for Dems to get 9 republicans to flip in favor of sensibility to slot Hakeem into the Speakership?
It only took 8 repugs to oust Mccarthy. Just sayin'

Might be able to peel off a few Republicans that way.
I doubt any of them would support Jeffries.

Ideally, a handful of these Rs go to the floor, announce they're changing their party affiliation to Independent and will be caucusing with the Democrats.
As part of this, they should strike a deal with the Democrats to put forth motions on the floor to expunge from Congress Gaetz, MTG, Boebert, Good, and the other MAGAt howlers who voted to blow up McGimp.
