If you look more closely at the image in the OP, you'll see lots of problems due to AI generation. The back of the desk chair, for instance, isn't nearly as wide as it should be. The image of the chair below the seat is even worse. The side of the desk has a small drawer where none would ever be, and I don't know what that's supposed to be underneath that small drawer, or what various items on the desk are supposed to be. The keyboard Biden's using doesn't resemble any real keyboard. And so on.

When you see really good AI images, they're usually what someone has selected after lots of inferior options were churned out. AI image generators typically offer 4 options at a time from a prompt, and you can pick one or have it keep trying. And even then the image will almost always have to be tweaked a lot.

I posted the other day about Getty images now offering its own AI image generator, while also suing at least one AI company for having ripped off all Getty Images online as part of its illegal data set for training. The tester asked for an image of a ballerina in a certain pose. Only 1 of the first 4 images even had that pose, and that one had a leg twisted completely wrong.

Anyway, I do like the concept behind the image posted in the OP here. But rather than an AI version of it, it would be nice to see a real painting of it, whether done by hand or digitally.

Some people don't mind the weirdness of AI art, though.

It's aimed at young voters who overwhelmingly are gamers. Do you game on a rig? Do you know that our party is very involved with gaming & the gaming community? Are you aware people like AOC & Ilhan stream on Twitch & Steam live playing?

Young people are the largest voting bloc & my intention here was only to make something young voters could relate to & would find neat.

isn't a bad idea if targeted at young voters who love dragons in art, and there are a lot of them. And maybe the desk setting is meant to convey that Biden's busy working despite being surrounded by monsters. But yeah, it could be clearer.

And I don't like AI art, personally, though a lot of people seem okay with it.

Now that said, are you aware that our party is VERY active within the gaming community? Are you aware the largest voting bloc, young voters, are very involved in gaming? Most of them game & it's a massive majority.

Do you know what "Steam" is? It's the largest gaming platform in the entire world. Are you aware that the LGBTQIA community is heavily involved in gaming & the gaming community?

These are just a few of the Steam groups dedicated to the LGBTQIA community. There are many.

I applaud you for wanting to be creative.

I applaud you for having ideas you'd like to express through visual art.

But using generative AI does not make you creative, or an artist. In fact, it wastes time you could use learning to paint or draw, whether manually or digitally. And the AI tools you use were developed by companies exploiting real artists' work for profit.

People on DU are aware of why artists are fighting uses of generative AI that exploit and threaten them.

Which is why you will not get the sort of unanimous applause here that you'd get, say, on a forum for other AI enthusiasts who don't care about real artists' concerns.

But the dislike of AI you see here is not "nasty" as you're complaining. It's motivated by revulsion at the inhuman (and in my opinion anti-human) AI tools you've chosen to use.

And, I think, by your not being honest in your OPs about "your" art work having been mostly done by AI.
