…from a GOP source that didn’t know proper apostrophe use, which would not be surprising.

There is a pediatric dental office near me that calls itself Kid’s Dental - singular possessive. I have resisted the temptation to go in and ask them if they only care for one child.

This is actually a point of agreement between the Republicans (I refuse to use "Grand Old Party" to describe them) and Dems. Dem parents don't want paid outsiders of dubious competence interfering with their child-rearing any more than Republican parents do.

Many of our right wing brethren want to put public prayer and the Bible back in the schools.

They have no qualms about using the gov't to foist their own religious beliefs on the children in public schools without letting the parents decide how they want their children raised.
