FYI: Leonid meteor shower tonight

Eastern North America will have the best shot, 3 a.m. through the pre-dawn hours; NNE towards the constellation Leo at a rate of 15-30 per hour...

This meteor shower can actually outshine the Perseids. The night is darker and you tend to get a lot of downward streaking fireballs. Its just much colder out.

The waxing crescent moon setting much earlier in the evening will be an added bonus, too...

radiant high in the sky at about 2AM appearing as a black circle with meteors shooting out all around its perimeter; I estimated about 800-1000/min. Never, ever seen even 1 Perseid, however.

Memory is serving me horribly after a few of these DFH 90 Minute IPAs, however I remember the 200-500 range.
