Moscow benefits from the escalation in the Middle East as it could allow for launching talks with the United States. Thus, Putin raises the stakes and regains geopolitical negotiating weight, shifting international attention away from his war on Ukraine. It is highly likely that the Kremlin provided intelligence support to the Palestinians for the attack on Israel, as well as weapons delivered via Syria and Lebanon. The type of hang gliders used by the Palestinians to fly over the wall with Israel is quite similar to the Poisk-06 MSN model, which has been in service with the Russian Guard since 2015.
According to verified reports, the Russians are recruiting Palestinians in Lebanon for their war against Ukraine, offering an allowance of around $350. To this end, members of pro-Iranian Hezbollah and the 25th Syrian Special Operations Division led by Major General Suhail Al-Hasan provide comprehensive recruiting support.

(12,756 posts)There is a definite line between Russia and the Iranian government, specifically the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Another between the IRGC and HAMAS, especially in the PT.
