And some here are like that.

was the Vice President, whose husband is Jewish. Watching her face as the President spoke, I voiced the hope that her family's security has been increased.

Thank you for the link. I missed hearing it live and I appreciate it when links are posted on DU.

And to all the MAGAts and news organizations that want to portray him as old and senile, they can STFU.

The first thing out of their mouth was, he did mention Iran in his speech. He shouldn’t have at this moment in the situation as it is now. He’s talking to things that we know for sure, not speculating about. Everyone knows Iran has been supportive of a Hamas, but the damn Fox News folks just cannot say anything positive about the president even in a time like this.

They’d criticize it either way. They’re a propaganda outlet. And only 3 or 4 million people a day watch them on any given day, about 1% of our population. And I agree with everything Biden said.

or will it just be criticized?

Did any outlet carry it live and in its entirety? Will it be replayed tnight? Will aany outlet give it more than a meaningless mention and then cut to some maga talking head, or worse, tiny himself, for a longer rebuttle?

I think I know the answer, but would be pleasantly surprised to hear the non-andrea mitchel answer.

CNN just included a byline under all the other news about the war. Also, no photos of Biden. Scroll down and there are two stories on tfg with photos. Also a big story on RFK Jr. With photo. Who's president anyway?

Whatever one thinks of how Israel came to be (as with the USA or Mexico or Canada or Brazil or so many other of today's countries), they do have a national identity of their own now, and they do indeed HAVE NOWHERE ELSE TO GO. Palestinians can try to make the Middle East "Judenrein," as the National Socialists put it, but it's not going to happen. Not even Allah is going to make it happen. Whether in Ramallah or Oklahoma City, the sadists' deity is not going to wipe out the infidels.

Israel would do well to ask themselves if the Gazans and the West Bank Palestinians might have similar feelings, and make contingency plans, but Israel does not plan bloody massacres-and-hostage-takings a year or more in advance, and certainly not with planned public beheadings. This is NOT the same, even if Netanyahu has been probably the worst PM at the wrong time.

It has to be said that I look at this from a decidedly western point of view, and someone who grew up being told that their deity, Allah, not only permits but demands such action will see this differently. But if that means a war of neighboring cultures, then that's what there will be. I wish I knew of a way to eradicate a religion, but even totalitarian regimes like the Soviet Union and the PRC couldn't manage that. Sadism loves rationalization, and religion serves it to the sadist on a silver platter.
