What if the invasion is a trap?

Apparently the Hamas attack was in the works for years.
What happens if Hamas has been anticipating Israel's next move for years, too?
What happens if Hamas has laid minefields/tanktraps/pre-registered artillery coordinates, etc?
Or maybe dirty bombs.
Ukraine has shown that a big, powerful army is vulnerable to unconventional weapons in the hands of a smaller force.

That's what happened the last time the IDF entered Gaza. Tomconroy Oct 2023 #1

With 300,000 troops on the border of Gaza, I don't see how they don't overwhelm Hamas regardless of the traps they've sent.

And have other traps in place for an invasion. Doubtful on a dirty bomb, that would almost guarantee Gaza and any remaining inhabitants get wiped off the map and fingers would get immediately pointed at Iran for supplying the radioactive material. Crude chemical weapons is a possibility. Making them isn't hard. The earliest ones could be made by anyone with basic chemistry knowledge.

I think it also a safe bet that Hamas, in anticipation of retaliation, have laid traps.

As for what will actually happen?

We'll see.
